Scoot has been one of the most sought after musicians in the Charlotte area for nearly 2 decades!  One full listen to Lake Montonia Road, his latest release, and you realize pretty quickly that Scoot can do it all. He can write a mean folk song (“Grandpa’s Shoes”), and can even play the blues (“Word on the Street”). He knows when to funk it up (“Fatback”), and you better believe this blue-eyed soulster knows when to serve up some of that Southern soul (“Lake Montonia Road”) and gospel (“Laughin’ at the Devil”) from deep within.

Scoot was raised on a steady diet of old 45’s and vinyl records, in addition to the church music his “Mama” would play around the house. No matter what the music was he heard growing up, it seems to have soaked in.

There is no question that Scoot Pittman is a very talented guy. He has the ability to create the kind of music that forces you to either exercise your body and/or your mind. As you can see below, he can perform almost ANY types of cover material, so the versatility is there for him to create whatever kind of vibe your event calls for. He can Perform Solo, Duo and has a full band “the Get Go” for all types of engagements.

Accolades:
Scoot has been a musician his entire life and traveled the U.S. and Canada with many great bands over the years, having the privilege of making hundreds of long lasting musical and creative friends.  He’s been performing in excess of 300 shows a year for nearly the past 20 years.

PRESS
Scoot Pittman is a singer/songwriter who displays an emotive (read: genuine), bluesy acoustic soul rock sentiment which showcases a nice streetwise eclectic sound. He plays all the aforementioned elements with a live and kickin’ attitude, and there’s no reason why he can’t be a star on the touring jam band circuit~ Samir Shukla – Creative Loafing

Instead of describing the show, I’ll give you a few adjectives: quick on the uptake, pure quality, up to snuff, all there, on the ball, scintillating, glorious, dazzling, splendid, splendiferous, magnificent, marvelous, palatable, recherché, sensational, stupendous, superb, undefiled, in a class by oneself… NUFF SAID? I would definitely recommend Scoot Pittman for everyone. If ya don’t believe me…go see him yourself and/or buy a CD~ Topher – Anti-Star.com

He’s the King of all Charlotte music ~Mr. Bill – WRFX (99.7 the Fox)

“A one-man original, acoustic genius ~ CharlotteLiveMusic.com

“Scoot Pittman is a Natural ~Erroe Collins – 107.9 (The Link)

A talented, skilled and determined artist. A consummate singer/songwriter who plays drums, bass, guitar and performs solo with the same ease he presents in a band situation ~Debbie “Jet” Jennings – The Herald
