Pluto for Planet’s unique style of Rock is influenced by blues, classic rock, metal, jazz and alternative rock. Ryan began playing with the extremely talented Tony Oliver-Paull (lead guitar) in 2009 after a chance encounter at a mutual friend’s house for a jam session. Tony and Ryan have played throughout the Charlotte area since the formation of their acoustic duo, The Escape Artists, in 2010.

A very natural progression from the acoustic act, Pluto for Planet was formed when the youngest of the Bumgarner brothers, Robby, graduated from Western Carolina University’s music department in 2011. The time was right for a full-band collaboration.  Pluto for Planet has taken the Charlotte area by storm, impressing people with their choice of covers as well as their original music. Talent radiates from these guys….from the extraordinary vocals and distinct dual lead guitars, to metal-influenced precision drumming and commanding, funky bass lines….demonstrating that Pluto for Planet is a force to be reckoned with.
