Petty Rewind is a group of seasoned musicians paying homage to the music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Formed in late 2023, they have created a library of some of Tom’s biggest hits that will have you singing and dancing while wanting more.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ music spans four decades, has millions of streams and is played daily on radio stations. The band has sold over 80 million records and played sold-out shows all over the world. Everyone loves Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers!
To be fair to Tom and his legacy, the band agreed the songs had to be duplicated as close as possible to the original – at least the live version. Attention to detail capturing the nuances that make the songs so unique and special were studied and recreated. Song selection was critical to include songs that fans would want to hear from the 40 plus years of music.
And what about a name for the band? Many of the existing tribute bands had chosen names of Tom’s songs. After much thought and debate, Petty Rewind was chosen – let’s rewind the legacy of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers!
