Ken Knox, a 4 decade member of “Chairmen of the Board”, whose legacy was built by the late Grammy Award winning General Johnson, continues on that legacy. After the death of General Johnson in 2010 and Danny Woods departing the band, we decided to put the Brand “Chairmen of the Board” on the mantle, but fans kept begging to bring it back for sentimental reasons.
COB brings a high energy/high impact show filled with great Pop/R&B and Carolina Beach Music Hits like the infectious “Give Me a Little More Time” “Gone Fishin’”, “I’d Rather Be In Carolina”, “On The Beach” and the everlasting “Carolina Girls”.
In September of 2011 Ken Knox & Company released their first Hit single “You”. This contemporary Pop/R&B topped the Carolina Beach Music radio charts at Number One and continues to gain recognition both on the air waves and with live audiences up and down the East Coast and in the UK. In 2012, the band scored another hit with “Carolina Shuffle” which debuted at a half time show by the Carolina Panthers “Top Cat Cheerleaders” and “Sir Purr”.
The Legacy Continues….Ken Knox is a Member of the North and South Carolina Music Hall Of Fame.
