here are some Great Solo & Duo performers to choose from!
As a singer/songwriter, I have had many experiences I can take with me to each new level of success. I've released an original song, "Someone Like You" on iTunes, played the legendary 'Blue Bird Cafe' in Nashville, TN, and am proud to say that I'm on vacation 365 days a year---because I do what I love for a living.
Music is more than just a way of life for me. It calms my mind and sets me at ease. It's my way of connecting with people. I love playing for the crowd, and seeing how the music I play connects with them.
I'm very proud of the success I have had so far, and I look forward to pushing myself towards bigger things. It's been a long journey, but it's far from over. So come on out and join me for a evening of live music.

Playing guitar since the age of 14, learning from a variety of guitar-based bands. The Beatles, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Simon & Garfunkel, America, Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Phil Keaggy, and Jack Johnson are just a few of the many artists who influenced my playing style. Since then, he has found a niche in the Charlotte musical entertainment market by playing his favorite songs - a list which has become very extensive and eclectic in range. So many times he will hear the comment, “Wow…you have all my favorite songs on this list!” He loves keeping the spirit of these songs fresh and alive, and something always happens whenever he connects with people who are listening.
It becomes an experience…
At each of his engagements, it's his desire to create the kind of atmosphere that best suits the particular setting and crowd. He can provide any ambiance, from a quiet dinner mood to a lively, danceable party. Very often this can progress from one to the other in the course of an evening.
Although a solo performer, he incorporates the use of a drum machine, which, along with his acoustic guitar, he connects to a looping machine which records whatever he is playing at the time and plays it back as a "loop". This layering process enables him to build a rhythm background complete with drums, over which he can play alternate guitar parts, lead, solos, etc., giving me more of 1 man band feel! He and his guests have a lot of fun with it!
He's great for any type of functions, including private parties, business luncheons, cocktail hours, wedding rehearsal/receptions, pool parties, outdoor barbecues, holiday events, etc.

More than 30 years of musical evolution incorporating an eclectic blend of influences have produced the precision and warmth that his guitar style now exudes. Perhaps the editors of “Charlotte’s Best” magazine summed it up most eloquently when they voted him “Best Local Acoustic” musician in July, 1994… “Tom Billotto plays brilliant guitar… [he] caresses many a song with sweet notes…” Tom’s sound is often described as “classy”…”tasteful”, and certainly his extensive musical training and influences are at the heart of these descriptions. His adept finger-style guitar technique (melody, rhythm and bass simultaneously) took flight during formal music studies in college, culminating in a degree in Classical Guitar. Profoundly influenced by guitar greats Chet Atkins, John Williams, Earl Klugh, Joe Pass, Andres Segovia, Guy Van Duser and Martin Taylor, and many other classical, jazz and finger-style virtuosi, it’s no wonder audiences and fellow performers have described Tom as a “musicians’ musician”.
