Steve Brogan is one of those rare entertainers who can entertain any audience of any age with his incredible and unique talent. He mixes stand-up comedy, puppetry, audience participation, improvisation, along with his astonishing voice manipulations, all to the benefit of comedy-seeking audiences.
Steve does both live shows and television. As for live performances, Steve has entertained for numerous corporations, churches, universities… and the list goes on and on. As a TV performer, Brogan has appeared on several network shows including Good Morning America, PBS and the Today Show as well as cable shows such as The Comedy Connection and variety show, Swan’s Place.
The reason for Steve’s amazing success is that he is a master at making audiences laugh. There is one amazing difference between Steve and other comedians – half of his act is spent making people, puppets, and inanimate objects-talk.
Matthews Night Out — Steve Brogan
- Written by Nancy LaFond on February 15
My sons and I went to see Steve Brogan tonight. Since we are all fans of Jeff Dunham, we were really looking forward to seeing Steve. We were certainly not disappointed! He was extremely entertaining and funny. I was pleasantly surprised that my oldest, 19, laughed aloud, though he did try to stifle it a few times. We especially enjoyed Steve’s volunteer, Scott and his enthusiastic rendition of “I’m a Little Teapot.” I think you have quite a future, Scott!
It’s so exciting to see people come out to enjoy quality entertainment in a wonderful setting that is one of our crown jewels, the Matthews Theatre. I don’t know the exact number, but I know it was sold out with standing room only.
I also had the pleasure of seeing other shows at the theatre, but I know the crowd was the largest I’ve seen this time. Must be the idea of seeing a grown man play with dolls.
Anyway, thanks to everyone at the Matthews Theatre for coordinating a great show, and thanks to Steve Brogan for sharing his time and talent with us. I hope I have the opportunity to see him again, very soon.
He has a great people personality and I had no trouble communicating with him. His act was outstandingly hilarious. He engaged our audience thoroughly. He had everyone laughing hysterically. My instructions this year were to "find someone to make us laugh!" Well did I get a BIG pat on the back, because laugh we did.
