Being born to greatness doesn’t guarantee that greatness will be passed on, but in this case it’s undeniable. Born the daughter of legendary soul singer, songwriter, actor and music producer Isaac Hayes, Heather Hayes has greatness flowing systemically through her veins.
While under the tutelage of her father and music greats like the “Godfather Of Soul”, James Brown, Heather honed her skills as an entertainer with the unique ability to leave audiences breathless and wanting more. Her live performances and vocals have been compared to Aretha Franklin, Regina Bell, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan and Janet Jackson. Heather's musical experiences don't end there, she's worked as a singer for artists such as Beyonce Knowles and Arrested Development, danced for Michael Jackson, Sean P. Diddy Combs and Brian McKnight and danced and choreographed stage shows for James Brown.
In the spring of 2004 Heather formed The Heather Hayes Band with four of Atlanta’s most seasoned musicians. The guys have many impressive credits of their own and have recorded and toured with artists like Madonna, Cameo, Bobby Brown, George Clinton, India Arie and Whitney Houston extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.

Each member has played professionally since their teen years and educational backgrounds include music degrees and Masters degrees. Billy Scott & The Prophets have been a main staple on the southeastern private party, festival, concert, corporate functions, night club and wedding circuit for over thirty years. In 1997 they opened for The Temptations at Blockbuster Pavilion in Charlotte, NC to a sold out crowd of 17,000. This award winning 7-piece dance and show group plays a wide variety of music including beach, blues, Motown, retro, funk and oldies, and are in constant demand.
Billy Scott has been inducted in the Beach Music Hall Of Fame, The North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame, and has a room full of Cammy Awards to his credit. Billy Scott was awarded with three more Cammy Awards on November 11, 2001 at the Alabama Theater in Myrtle Beach, SC. Billy's hit song "My Kind Of Girl" won Song Of The Year, Ballad of the Year, and Billy Scott also took home the 2001 Male Vocalist Of The Year award.

The third week of September, 1978, was marked the beginning of an era, the formation of THE FANTASTIC SHAKERS, known as the "South's Finest Show Band." Since the inception of the band, the have performed over 6,000 engagements including over 400 wedding receptions, 700 conventions, and clubs too numerous to mention. The band's summer home and their hit single "Myrtle Beach Days" catapulted The Shakers to the top of the Carolinas musical groups.
This combination of experience and longevity has allowed THE FANTASTIC SHAKERS to possess a level of versatility few other groups can match. With five lead vocalists and up to three horns, they can perform almost any style of music from up-tempo dance and rock to the smooth easy listening for the more subdued occasions. The music is GREAT but what sets THE FANTASTIC SHAKERS apart is the personality of the group. From start to finish every performance becomes a PARTY! The fun starts at the first note and doesn’t stop until the last. A performance by THE FANTASTIC SHAKERS is not just a party, it is an EVENT!
Special attention is given to appearance, with over $80,000 spent on custom-made wardrobing. Tuxedos are always available for the formal occasion. This Shakers' carry a state of the art JBL P.A. that is powered by over 16,000 watts of QSC amplifiers. The lighting system features 16,000 watts of power controlled by NEL multiplex controllers. An ultraquartz spotlight is used to highlight the floorshow. This flexibility allows them to accommodate any size event from a small reception to a large outdoor event.

My career has been a long exciting journey with all roads leading to the musical oasis called Beach Music. In the spring of 1966 in Raleigh, NC, as lead singer of the Showmen, I performed before my first Beach Music audience. Thinking Beach Music was music by artists like The Beach Boys and Jan & Dean, we nervously performed a variety of rhythm and blues classics. Surprisingly, each song was met with the audience's approval. As we ended the show with our regional hit "39-21-46" and our nationally charted hit song, "It Will Stand," the audience responded by applauding us back for an encore. Because we didn't know any other songs to perform, we sang two more verses of "It Will Stand" and spontaneously, began to adlib the chorus of Bruce Channel's song "Hey Baby." As we sang "Hey Baby," we waved our hands in the air and to our surprise, everyone in the audience responded by doing the same. When we concluded the show with a bow, the audience showed their appreciation by rewarding us with another thunderous round of applause. That spring night, I understood, appreciated and became a part of the Beach Music phenomenon.
In 1968, 1 moved to Detroit, Michigan to further my career with Invictus Records.
In 1978, 1 returned to the Carolina's with The Chairmen of the Board. For the first time in eight years, I enjoyed performing music without the depression of the music business. I found an independent music industry that was still free of monopoly, politics and categorization. I felt the energy of an industry propelled by its loyal supporters.
I'd like to sincerely thank all Beach Music lovers and supporters for affording me the opportunity to create and perform, without compromise, the music that we treasure. I am humbly appreciative and honored to be a part of the Carolina Beach Music phenomenon.

Great Imponderables, The
The band officially came together and was formed in 2005. With the exception of Nathan, all were former members of other bands through previous years.
"Not often do you get people that truly want to play with each other," said one of the members. "Most musicians enjoy doing their own thing and expect the rest to follow. That's not what makes for a great band." For the first time in decades, Rick noticed a special mix of talent.
The age difference has allowed the group to come up with a mix unlike so many other bands. From Elvis to Incubus, Otis to Green Day, The Temptations to Lenny Kravitz, Rod Stewart to Jack Johnson. You name it. This group has it all.
Through their combined experience of playing in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee, these guys play from funk to swing and everything in between. Beach music and classic rock included.
Why such a wide diversity? Well, age difference did play some part. However, Mike and Payton are professional dancers. In competition and appearing in movies, dance is what motivated these guys. Rick was an old southern rocker that married a disco lady. There was no choice for them to play anything but dance music.
If you want a band to get people to dance, this is the band that can do it. Guests of all ages appreciate the mix of music this band performs.
So if you're planning a corporate event, private party, fund raiser, special event, or wedding reception, this is the band that will make things happen.

Johnny Dollar was created in New Bern, North Carolina during late 2000. With their high energy performances, Johnny Dollar has formed a strong fan base in the southeast. Traveling non-stop, the band has taken their show into new regions and is reaching more people every day. Their performance has captivated people of all ages and walks of life. Since the beginning, it’s always been about energy, soul, and musicianship. Over the years, experience and hard work would focus and tame this energy into well polished showmanship. It is this genuine showmanship that has been the largest contributing factor towards the success of Johnny Dollar.
The band’s debut CD was recorded in 2001. “24-7 Man” and “Windows” received significant recognition in clubs as well as regional air play. The same year, the band was nominated for “Favorite New Artist” by the South East’s Carolina Beach Music Association. A second CD, "A Place Nobody Can Find," was released in summer 2004.
Johnny Dollar is on the bill at some of the largest festivals in the region, alongside such groups as The Impressions, The Stylistics, and The Tams. The band’s show blends R&B, soul, and rock. Darrel “Sonny Skyyz” Hutchins, vocals & bass, has played professionally for over two decades and has honed his signature funk sound that is copied by many of Charlotte’s hottest bass guitarists.

A native of Charleston, South Carolina. Quiana Parler began her professional career singing for Calvin Gilmore of the "The Carolina Opry". After years of being one of the most sought after vocalists in South Carolina Low Country, in 2003 she parlayed a placement in the Top 48 of season two of the Fox hit American Idol into the gig she is most known to Triangle audiences for: touring vocalist with American Idol's Clay Aiken. In addition to touring with Aiken, she has shared the stage with a diverse array of national artists ranging from Keith Sweat to Kelly Clarkson. She can be heard on albums by Clay Aiken, Bianca Ryan and Renee Olstead, and has recorded with some of the industry’s most respected producers: Walter Afanasieff and David Foster. To hear it, you might think you just stepped into Motown. To breathe it, you smell a tropical breeze. To feel it, you let the rhythm grasp your body and whirl it into motion. To see it, is like an extravaganza of light and energy. But to experience it, you must say it …. “I want THE TAMS”!!
The Tams were formed in Atlanta, GA in 1962. It’s members were Joseph Pope and Charles Pope (founders), Horace Key, Floyd Ashton, and Robert Lee Smith. In the beginning, they sang and danced as a way of having fun and to escape their circumstances, hoping to make at least a little money. The group began performing in local night spots for $1.25 each. These small wages only allowed for them to purchase matching Tam O’shanter hats to wear while on stage. From this trademark, the legendary Tams name was born. The Tams hard work, patience and perseverance eventually paid off when they were signed to Arlan records and had their first Billboard hit in 1962, the single “Untie Me”, which was number 12 on the R&B chart. In 1963, ABC Records signed them and their first album produced a Top Ten hit, “What Kind of Fool”. They began playing throughout the country and a string of hits followed. These included “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy”, “I’ve Been Hurt” and “Hey Girl”. Since then, they have released over 15 albums and been honored with one Platinum and two Gold records. They have toured and recorded with Jimmy Buffet and performed with such greats as Gladys Knight, Jackie Wilson and many more. They have received the title “Beach Band of the Decade” and have been inducted into the Georgia Hall of Fame, the Atlanta Hall of Fame and the Beach Music Hall of Fame. The Tams are still recording today and have recently released their latest singles “My Main Squeeze” and “This Love Will Last” from their newest CD The Tams Comin’ At Cha’.
The current members include Charles Pope, his son Li’l Redd, Joe Jones, Robert Arnold and Reginald Preston. Despite the unfortunate passing of “The Legendary Joe Pope”, The Tams have continued to be as popular as ever. Forty two years after the group’s formation, Charles and Li’l Redd continue to lead The Tams toward success. Fans clamor to see Charles Pope – Living Legend, and Li’l Redd – Fastest Feet in the South! And with a new generation of “Little Tams” coming along, Charles puts it best when he says “The Tams will NEVER die” !!

The Travis Allison Band’s arsenal includes cover material ranging from Classic Rock and Current Music to Motown, Beach and everything in between. Many of the covers we enjoy playing are listed below. Available for all types of private events including weddings, oyster roasts, corporate and college functions, the TAB can do it all! The Travis Allison Band has enjoyed performing throughout the Southeast and beyond since 1996 playing shows as varied as festival and clubs to 500 guest ballroom weddings to renowned acoustic singer-songwriter venues. Bandleader Travis Allison holds a B.A. from the University of Richmond and has been a full time professional musician for twelve years. Have you seen Whild Peach? Chances are you have. In the past several years they’ve performed all over the world with Platinum selling, Grammy award winning hip-hop super stars Outkast. If you missed them on the Stankonia tour then maybe you caught them on: Saturday Night Live; HBO’s Chris Rock Show; The Grammy Awards; The American Music Awards; The David Letterman Show; BET’s 106 And Park; HBO’s Reverb; MTV’s TRL; The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno; Good Morning America; The Dave Chappell Show; The ESPY Awards; & The MTV Video Music Awards.
Imagine a rock superstar mothered by Nina Simone And Fathered by George Clinton, a musical Frankenstein love child with the left arm of Jimi Hendrix, the right arm of Bootsy Collins, and the soul of James Brown. With the vocal chords of Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin, you get a lanky, multi-instrumentalist who raids the wardrobe of Sly and has the cool of ten Princes. If you can fathom such a creature, I present to you Whild Peach and their brand of “Slunky” music.
While the rappers tend to get all the credit, Hip-Hop music – particularly the southern kind, which relies heavily on live instrumentation – doesn’t get made without the work of musicians like the ones that make up Whild Peach. They’ve spent the last ten years working on projects with Goodie Mob/Joi/Cool Breeze/Lil’ Will/ Khujo Goodie/Sleepy Brown/The Ali Movie Soundtrack/The Scooby-Doo Soundtrack and most notable among these efforts is their collaboration with Outkast. Beginning on Outkast’s second album and continuing on to their newest record, Speaker Boxx/The Love Below (which includes two songs co-written by the band), Outkast and Whild Peach formed a relationship that included co-writing, lending a hand on vocals and instrumentation and eventually manifested itself as Whild Peach becoming the backup band on thegroups tours.
But Whild Peach is more than just a backup band. In addition to their work on Outkast’s tour dates and their hectic studio calendar, the band has started a busy touring schedule of their own playing over 100 dates in the last year at colleges, nightclubs, concert venues and festivals all over the United States. They’ve opened for Common, Erica Badu, Goodie Mob, Ohio Players, War, Fishbone and Chingy. This soul-Rock, Slam-Down group’s tight ensemble includes guitarist/vocalist David Whild, funktress/lead vocalist Peach, drummer Tuesday Henderson, bassist/vocalist Blue Gomes and guitarist Matt Hollums. Do yourself a favor, make plans to see Whild Peach!

THE HISTORY
Zegg formed by chance—a spontaneous collection of wayward souls who are music fans as much as they are musicians. Soon after the four members of ZEGG connected in 2004, they—as well as the strong fan base that quickly followed—discovered that they had something special.
